From the dawn of time we came… moving silently down through the centuries. Living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of the Gathering, when the few who remain will battle to the last.

Donald Dinnie Day, The Gathering was first held on Sunday 6th August 2017. It was created to give all Dinnie Stone lifters from down through the years a chance to meet each other and swap stories about their adentures in taking on this magnificent challenge. Heading into its 6th year on Sunday 7th August 2022, the day now incorporates the Donald Dinnie Games as well as new attempts at the Dinnie Stones. The historic Inver Stone has also made several appearances over the years. The games feature all natural stone events to test the strongest of athletes and the field would not look out of place in the 1300s in William Wallace's time as no modern implements are used. We have built up a library of reports from previous events which are contained in the links below. The Gathering Committee and events team look forward welcoming you to Potarch.
